July Monthly Insights

July was a month brimming with electrifying energy for the Rotary Club of Hunters Hill, as we joyfully welcomed our dynamic new President, Barbara Enright! Her infectious enthusiasm and innovative vision ignited a spark within our ranks, setting the stage for an unforgettable month. Just days after her induction, we celebrated the 2024 Annual Pride of Workmanship Awards—a dazzling event showcasing our community members' remarkable talents and dedication. The atmosphere buzzed with pride as stories of hard work and commitment unfolded on stage, embodying the spirit of service that defines us. Laughter mingled with heartfelt applause as attendees shared in this vibrant celebration of achievement and camaraderie, all under Barbara's inspiring leadership

At the Rotary Club of Hunters Hill, we truly believe in honouring those who make a difference, and the night's meeting was a luminous testament to that principle! The atmosphere was electric as I stood before our vibrant members for my very first time as president, eager to present the prestigious PRIDE OF WORKMANSHIP AWARD alongside our charismatic POW convenor Roger O’Dwyer. With pride swelling in his voice, Roger kicked off the evening with a heartfelt toast to Rotary that resonated deeply within us all. We were thrilled to celebrate three extraordinary individuals: Sara Wickers, whose unwavering dedication as former Vice President and Secretary for 16 years has left an indelible mark on the Hunters Hill Le Vesinet Friendship Committee; Justine Housego, a steadfast Senior Constable at Transport Command Parramatta whose commitment exemplifies service above self; and Natalie de Silver, the dynamic Station Manager at 2rrr Ryde Regional Radio whose passion for community broadcasting inspires everyone she encounters. This special night turned into an unforgettable highlight not just for our award recipients but also for every member present—an exhilarating reminder of how interconnected we are and how pivotal it is to recognize those who fuel our shared mission with their fervour and hard work!
