Moocooboola Festival
The Moocooboola Festival, a beloved annual tradition in Hunters Hill, draws families and friends alike to the vibrant Boronia Park Ovals for a day filled with joy and community spirit. Attracting up to 15,000 visitors on Sunday, 13 October 2024, the festival buzzed with excitement from 10 am to 4 pm. Colourful roving stilt walkers added an enchanting touch as they danced through crowds while thrilling rides sent screams of delight echoing across the park. The tantalizing aroma from diverse food stalls beckoned festival-goers to indulge their taste buds in culinary delights worldwide. A highlight was the bustling market bazaar, where local artisans showcased their crafts alongside unique displays celebrating Hunters Hill's rich culture and heritage. Amidst all this merriment stood a prominent fundraising stall operated by the esteemed Hunters Hill Rotary Club; here, attendees had the chance to purchase tickets for boutique hampers as raffle prizes—those lucky enough could walk away with exquisite goodies while supporting local charitable causes! Adding further charm were lively performances scattered throughout the day, culminating in an enthusiastic dog show that delighted animal lovers young and old alike—all set against a backdrop steeped in history and connection to its namesake meaning "meeting of the waters."
